Hi, I was wondering if I could get into Tufts with the following credentials, and extracurricular activities, etc.

4.28 GPA with a college level English Junior Year, all honors courses throughout my high school career. Senior Year I am taking Honors Humanities, Psychology, Anatomy, and Physics, along with AP English, Spanish, and Calculus AB.

I've yet to take SATs and subject tests but aiming for 2050-2200.

I have participated in Cross Country, Ski Team, and Spring Track since freshman year. I've played piano for nine years, hold a summer job, participate in a multitude of volunteer services, I am actively involved in my church as a Eucharistic Minister, and am a board member of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), also a member and prospective officer of NHS, and a DECA member.

You appear to be a very strong candidate- your grades are solid and a 2150-2200 would place you in a great position. Tufts really seems to value leadership so I would definitly try to be an officer of your NHS branch. With Tufts, just like most highly selective schools, though, even some of the “best” applicants are routinely denied. Best of luck, I will probably be applying with you next year!

Thank you so much for your feedback, and best of luck to you next year! I’m just very apprehensive because I love the campus, facilities, programs, and I feel it would be a great university for me to attend, but the selectiveness of the school makes me nervous for the application process. I guess we will both simply have to put our best feet forward and show admissions that we truly want to be apart of their community.
