Hi I'm studying Computer Engineering at the University of Rhode Island (ABET accredited). I'm in my first semester of senior year and currently hold a 3.21/4.00 GPA. I aim to graduate with a 3.3 cum laude. My EC's involve being a member of a chapter of HKN ETA KAPPU NU (treasurer), and being a member of computer engineering student advisory board. I've had a student research position performing server maintenance and programming at the Electrical Engineering department. Also, I've held a summer internship and am currently working part time for the same company. In addition, I'm working for the university to develop an iPad application. Furthermore, I've worked at Best Buy selling computer and mobile devices. I can get great letter of Recs from professors who graduated from MIT and Princeton. In addition, my senior capstone design project is sponsored by Intel and our school was chosen amongst only four other ones (all top schools). I'm also hoping me being ways apart from California can help along with me being of Asian Indian ethnicity. I've yet to take the GREs but plan to study my ass off. Ideally I'd like to get to the west coast and want to get into a Masters program. Do I have a shot at UCLA (Electrical or Computer science/engineering). If not, are there any schools I'd have a shot at despite my low GPA. Thanks!
