People from my school started receiving their acceptances on monday....its now wed and i haven't gotten anything. I know its still soon but im getting scared! GAH

Read through the threads. Many have not heard. On the facebook the SU class of 2013, which is suppose to be kids going, has only about 850 kids on there. They accept 2600. They send out letters in batches through the end of March. I know kids who last year got accepted at the end of March. We have not heard either, but hope is alive!!

We haven't heard yet either, and the actually accept more then 2600, to get their yield...I actually think it's going to be a difficult task for most private colleges this year, not to mention many state schools that have many oos students......

Same here. I guess we just have to test our patience! Good luck everyone.

Oops, yes they accept around 10,000 hoping to get 2600. I meant most of the kids on the facebook are planning to attend so are in the 2600 yield. Then again, I read a few post today on FB of kids not planning to attend due to cost.

Unfortunately, I have noticed, that many schools aren't taking the economy into consideration, for fear that their stats in US News and World Reports will go down. Triple legacy at S first choice school, don't need loans or financial aid and was deferred to Spring 2010. Hopefully will be admitted to Syracuse, because if he gets in....that is where he is going.....although I am not very optimistic :(

Just to let you guys know, my guidance counselor called to see the status of my application, and they said that it is still under review. So I won't be in this batch apparently.
They said if any document were late at all, then you will most likely be held up and will find out your acceptance later in march or early april.
