Getting Rejected with High Stats

I actually went through this thread more carefully just now, I feel like I was lucky to get wailtlisted at some of the colleges I did. Compared to the 4.0, 4.5 weighted, with 4 varsity letters, and yet rejected from nearly everywhere stories, I’m not in a particularly bad position.

I should just suck it up.

A good thing to remember as you go through life :).

You can always transfer if you aren’t thrilled with SLO.
For other readers… make sure you have a RANGE of schools on your list. 1/3 reach, 1/2 matches/ probables and 2 safeties that YOU LIKE. So, if you apply to 10 schools, maybe a list like:
Uchicago, Yale, Tufts reaches
GW, Tulane, Wake Forest, U Roch as probables
BU and fave State U

People, please be realistic in how competitive it is. Love each school you apply to and make strong efforts to stay in touch with the admissions rep to your school. Be passionate on your applications and authentic in your essays and prompts. Don’t assume that high scores and high GPA ensure admission; there are simply too many great students competing for a few seats.

is it generally Asian has a lower chance or juz Asian male?
