<p>In a few select fields -- teaching, for example -- if you teach for a specified number of a years in a high-needs area (special ed, math, science, foreign language) or if you are teaching in a designated low-income school, a certain portion of your loans are forgiven each year. I don't know which other disciplines offer these programs, but I assume that's what you are referencing.</p>

<p>...i've also heard of some hospitals doing it for RNs. They require something like a year-long contract. Most companies only pay for current employees continuing education (if at all), however.</p>
