differences between the two? which one do you like better?

uhh..i know ppl who go to both, and by the way they each talk about them, they each go to the best school ever and the other school is oh so horrible and oh my gosh did you hear about that scandal at the other school, im so glad i go to this one...yea so basically no significant differences that ive heard of..just visit each and pick one and you'll be happy

Dickinson is gaining a bit more of a national reputation due to strong marketing. I'd also give Dickinson the edge in terms of languages, science, and some social sciences.
Gettysburg is slightly less competitive, trying less hard to move up the ranks. Strong programs in history, English. Towns are about the same size but one (Gettysburg) has tourists, the other (Carlisle) does not. Both are quite a schlep from a city of any size. Both are somewhat preppy but Dickinson tends to attract more career-driven students. Dickinson has fantastic study-abroad options. Both are very good schools academically. What matters is which one YOU prefer, so be sure to visit and trust your instincts.
