oh okay thanks! so do you know if we GET them by the 15th or do they SEND them by the 15th?

After reading through this and other forums, it seems pretty definite that we will know GET them by the 15th! I really hope that proves true…I can’t wait anymore!!! I found out this week that I’m exempt from all mid-term exams, but now I’m almost wishing I had something to keep my mind on…now it’s free to wander, worry, and wish all the time.
Keep thinking positive thoughts everyone!!

We’ll get them by the 15th, I believe. Acceptances are sent priority which means if they’re sent out tomorrow or Monday they could get there Tuesday or Wednesday. Honestly I’m hoping for Tuesday but I guess as long as I get it before the end of next week I’ll be OK.
So many colleges are sending out emails this week and next week and seriously wish there was an email instead of actual mail because at least then we would know the exact time and date of decisions.

I find it interesting they send acceptances/rejections via mail. Is there an implicit reason why? Or are they just hanging on to good ol’ tradition? Of course, SAT scores are also sent using mail…

Really? I (and all my classmates) got my SAT scores online. And I have NO idea why. I suppose it’s nice if you got accepted to have a physical memento though it’d be nicer to know exactly when we’ll get them, I suppose adcoms don’t completely understand the anxiety that we’re going through which is why they say “mid-December” haha.If I knew the exact time the mailman was going to hand it to me then I would be happy for a letter, it’s nicer than just a little website saying
Status: Accepted/Deferred/Denied
It also seems a little more sincere for the deferrals and rejections. The only other thing that bothers me is how acceptances are priority so it’s like if I don’t get a letter on Tues/Wednesday then I’ll be assuming I got rejected/deferred.
Girls: Would you rather be deferred or rejected? I don’t really know. I think I’d rather be rejected flat out and have a clean break. That way it’d be easier to move on knowing that there was no possibility of going there.

sorry, what I meant was collegeboard sends the SAT scores to Barnard by mail, as opposed to electronically to many other places. :)

At first I thought that I’d rather be rejected, but after thinking about it…deferred for sure. Barnard is where I want to be next year, and even if that means waiting a couple more months then…I guess that’s how it’ll be Friends are getting into Northwestern, Columbia, …

SO NERVOUS GUYS
D-4? D-3? D-2? UNTIL WE KNOW

i think i’d rather be deferred…but what i really want is an acceptance! obviously. ughhh i want to know NOW :/

I’m curious about this accepted students site cheat. Anyone know the site?

My mother called admissions and they said the decisions won’t be mailed until the 14th. :/

So if you don’t get a letter by the 15th don’t think you’re rejected.

abercrombieindy: did your mom get any mention of when emails for intl applicants will be sent out? :s

@jisunz nope, but I’d imagine you would get the email sooner than us.

@Raspberri the website is no longer in use. You can still enter your code, but there is an error.

Woah. Really? Not till the 14th? But then that means even priority (accepted) people will get theirs the 16th or 17th so then the non accepted people might have to wait until even the 18th or (le gasp) next Monday? No!!! Haha I thought I was so close to finding out but apparently not.

@abercrombieindyAre you talking about the tracking your application thing? What happens when you enter your code?

@abercrombieindy are you talking about the tracking website? i can enter it. there’s no error on my tracking website… what happened??!

hi everyone-
do you think that if we don’t receive our letters by the 15th we can call the admissions office and they will let us know whether we were accepted or rejected?

sujulove - you can enter your code and get in? seriously?

My tracking application still works too. Maybe you should try copying and pasting your code in its possible that you’re a letter off or something.

@Raspberi I am 100% sure I can still enter my code and get in!

nooo, I don’t think she means that site because that site it only for tracking, not for admited students.

[Admissions - Barnard College](http://www.barnard.edu/admiss/admitted_new/)

that is the site I believe she is talking about, and you try to plug in your 7 digit id number that you got in an email for the tracking site into the little box. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work either, but you guys should try and let us know!
