girls: losing stomach fat

It’s good that a greater percentage of guys are overweight. It simply gives me an advantage. Too bad most overweight guys are not in college. :frowning: All I see around me are jocks. I’m not fat, but I also don’t have a lot of muscles.

Thank you, stargazerlilies, for that article. i actually wanted to search for a link to something like that but at the time i was too busy to bother. :)

“The more people that hate me on this site, the better. It makes me feel good that I don’t get along (even online) with a bunch of geeks.”

Glad you get such a boost of self-esteem from something as petty as antagonizing people you’ll never meet. I applaud you for that, really.

they’re deleting all of my posts, but not banning me yet. Guess I might have to discipline myself after all.

"Petty? That’s a highly subjective statement, Chelsea. You got proof of that? "

Haha, very funny. I’m going to go do more important things now.

As far as the statistic of more men being overweight than women, of course they will be- overweight is defined by BMI, which is strictly based on height and weight. Men are heavier per unit of height than women, and have correspondingly higher BMIs. In a situation where a man and a woman have an equal body fat percentage, the man will almost always have a higher BMI, and therefore be more likely to be “overweight.”

^

Good point. Men have higher bone density.

^^^ Well, women typically have a higher percentage of body fat than men. Men typically have more muscle than women.

BTW, where I live, weight training is not at all uncommon for women. But maybe that’s 'cause I go to a gym regularly, and I see lots of women lifting weights there . . .
