Hi guys! I was recently selected to attend Girl’s State but I’m just curious as to what value it could add to my college resume. I’m going to go but I was just interested in hearing from people who’ve already attended the program and their experiences.
My son, a total poli sci guy, enjoyed being with others who shared his interests. He also knew that it was pretty favorably looked upon by the service academies. I think he’d recommend it to anyone who has an interest in government or politics. Of course, given the choice between boys state and a week at the beach…lol the beach would win! I think, more than anything, it shows colleges that you have an interest in learning about our country and making it better in the future. If you want real brownie points, run for an office for maximum effect. Have fun!
