Hi!
I'm in 11th grade, and I'm homeschooled through an online private school for my last two years of HS, due to a medical issue. In public school though, everyone always made a big deal about Girls and Boys State, and I became really interested because I'm really interested into politics. I have a vague idea of how the admissions to Girls State worked for my public school (students were nominated through club sponsors, then interviewed, etc.) and then the school sponsors you for the program. (Something along those lines) However, I'm not sure if homeschooled students can attend or not. Has anyone had experience with this? Also, I'm probably going to end up contacting the American Legion branch in my state, but when is a good time to do so? I'm not sure when the selection process starts or anything, so I don't want to do it too early or too late.
Thanks!
