girls track/cross country questions

Can anyone provide some answers?

are most girls cc/track scholarships partials or full? at D1 and/or D2

I looked at the cc and track qualifying times (at the ncsas website) for d1 tier 1 and I am pretty sure she is on track for those times---does that mean the potential for full?

Does full mean both tuition and room/board?

what does tier 1 school and tier 2 school mean?

Thanks

Track scholarships are rarely “full”- perhaps for Olympic level runners. Full means tuition, usually not room and board. I believe Tier 1 and Tier 2 are usually in reference to the recruited student, not the school–that is, if you are looking at the track standards chart.

One DI coach told us that most of the kids are just “on books,” - meaning their books are paid for. Worth $1,500 a year or so.
