Girls Who Code 2017

@redmittens Hey, I talked about attending an all girls school, tutoring, being the head of a feminist club, and raising money for girls to attend school.

how competitive is girls who code? i got in, but im not sure if it will be a big deal to colleges

@universityisgr8 I’m wondering the same thing. I got into gwc and cosmos, and I don’t know which one is the better program.

@nitanu32 i would definitely go with cosmos! one of the most competitive programs in the nation, so colleges will definitely value it. what cluster did you get?

@universityisgr8 I got into mathematical modelling of biological systems at uc davis. I’m leaning towards cosmos as well, but wondering which program offers more mentorship/networking. thanks!

asap, anyone know how to submit the completed acceptance application? the button is grayed out for me, even though I filled it all out

I think it may be because it was the last day for submission :frowning: I would suggest emailing gwc and see what they say @jerrybrown

Did anyone get into the program in LA at the Walt Disney Company

Anyone in the waitlist for NYC?

I heard that many people who are currently taking or have taken ap computer science did not get in bc they are too advanced for this program, but I don’t know how they find out about students’ course records when they don’t require us sending in transcript. Or do they require school transcript??? I didn’t apply this year but I’m thinking about applying next year and I am taking ap computer programming next year so…

@vermidech6382 yea me too… i am a sophomore and am currently taking ap computer science principles, which isn’t even that difficult, so i feel like it’s a bit unfair to label that class as ‘too advanced’ when it’s very slow and just teaches students about the most basic programming skills. do u know if they require school transcript?

@needtosucceed27 I know that they don’t
