has anybody been pulled off the waitlist yet?
I haven’t… I really want to know soon though as I have possible summer conflicts. 
@drakonus same here, I’m going to enroll in community college classes and apply for a summer job, but I’d hate to commit to something and then find out I got off the waitlist.
@kattymiao Same; I was going to start emailing professors but it’d be really insensitive to later reject them if I get in a program… for now I enrolled into online college course classes. I might try to get an internship at a law firm too!

I got off the waitlist too, but I ended up getting into my first choice summer program. I was so confused b/c I was emailed to attend a conference call and was still waitlisted at the time. I got my acceptance email about 2 hours later. I have to decline, but will definitely apply next year.

@drakonus Yay and congratulations! What location is your program? What are those possible schedule conflicts? I hope they work out.
My sister wants to know how non-locals figured out housing. We live 4 hours away, so driving isn’t feasible. Since her program assignment is at a UT, she can rent a dorm/apartment, but the stipend doesn’t entirely cover the cost. Our closest family lives in Houston. A previous participant told me she rented out a dorm room with ease. Anyone else have this same problem?
