I’m a current sophomore and I was curious about how others think I’m doing and what I should do in the next two years. Here are my stats!
F asian American (Korean) living in silicon valley, attending pretty competitive private school
likely wants to major in astronomy/astrophysics/physics
ACT: 36 composite (all 36 except for math)
SAT: 1560 (800 math, 760 r&w)
9th grade: no APs and a few honors, all As and A+s except for one a- second semester math
9th grade classes: English 9h, trig precalc bc honors, mandarin 1, New Testament studies, bio honors, intro to computer science, physical ed, wind ensemble
10th grade: 4 aps one honors
AP calc bc, ap physics 1, ap chem, ap human geo, English 10h, biblical literature, wind ensemble, mandarin two
ECS:
I just started a job at a math tutoring place
Astronomy research program both years of high school, will be doing research projects this year and 11th and 12th (will continue this program)
principal oboe player in wind ensemble, planning on joining an orchestra later this year
Sport: olympic archery! did extremely well up to the summer before freshman year but after that haven’t been doing well, state 1st last year and state second this year but otherwise no exceptionally good national placements (maybe 20th ranked nationally in my age group) in the past two years, constant participation
founder and president of Korean club at our school
various participation in clubs and will likely hold a lot of officer positions next year
Tell me how my track is going so far and how I can improve so I can get into some good schools! thanks for ur help
