So let me know your take on my profile. Thanks!

I totally understand what you are trying to say. but, I am taking a heavy courseload this semester and I hope to push my gpa up. I got a 3.8 last semester(After ecs and working 12 hours/week). I just did badly in spring 2007 which is why my CGPA is not high.

My gpa would be a 3.75 in that case.
I also believe that getting the internship with the investment bank would increase my chances significantly. In addition to that, I am an active options trader which might give me an edge..but, thats just my idea.

I take it you want to do Econ or Business at those respective schools?

Harvard/Penn: Reach (Harvard is probably more of a far reach (for anyone really). if you're applying to Wharton, I would think it would depend on your landing the internship)
Northwestern/NYU: Possible/Reach (NYU will definitely be harder if you apply to Stern, but I think you can explain your grades and have a good chance at these two schools)
BC/Brandeis: Match (BC says that they only look at transfers with 3.5s or something like that, but I feel like you can explain your situation. Brandeis is always looking for diversity, it's a predominantly Jewish school)

I'm sorry about your relative, and I'm glad that you've gotten back on track.

Impressive resume and scores, but your GPA is just too low to be even competitive for Ivies. You should definitely apply, but don't expect much.
