<p>I believe a lot of Christian publications and groups jumped on the bandwagon a while ago. An acquaintance told me that Jerry Falwell announced that he believes in it too. Anyway, I hope they all enjoy the fun ride till someone comes up with the next apocalyptic disaster.</p>

<p>Even though emissions have actually decreased since the 70s (if you don't believe me, look at EPA data; better yet, look at pictures of Los Angeles and other major cities in the 70s and look at pictures of them today), people still think "we're headed for doom with 'increasing' emissions".</p>
<p>The funny thing, though, is that when we were at our peak emissions period, scientists thought pollution was making the earth COLDER by blocking the sun and that we would enter another ice-age due to record-breaking low temperatures. </p>
<p>Have to love how people change spectra so quickly.</p>
