<p>You won’t get any free money from filling out FAFSA…your parents earn way too much. You won’t get any need based aid from UTexas either.</p>

<p>You need to ask your parents how much money they’ll spend each year for UTexas. </p>
<p>There are some Eagle Scout scholarships out there, don’t know if you’d get one. If so, won’t it be a one year award? What mensa scholarships would you get? And would those be for one year only as well.</p>
<p>I think you’re being overly optimistic about potential awards.</p>

I don’t think my parents would have a problem helping cover the costs, but I would rather keep that to a minimum. What other ways would there be to help pay for college if FAFSA, Student Loans, and Scholarships won’t cover it?</p>

<p>It is, however, the case that new graduate recruiting is local or regional to some degree, particularly with smaller companies which have smaller recruiting budgets. A student who wants to work in a different region would need to be more aggressive at finding employers and applying to them, versus watching them come to the career center.</p>
<p>You should run net price calculators on all of the schools to get an idea of what they expect you and your parents to pay.</p>
