Going from Washtenaw to COE?

What GPA should I have from WCC to get into the COE's mechanical engineering program? I'm pulling a 3.1 GPA from WCC (should increase since I had a disease). During high school, I took many APs/Honors and had a 3.0W GPA with good ECs and a 1840 on the SAT. I came from Northville High School btw. I'll have 45-50 credits by the time I apply. Am I doing ok right now?

What's the workload like at the COE? Is it difficult maintaining at least a 2.8 GPA?

It’ll take a much higher GPA to get into UM from WCC.

You should speak to admissions at UM.

Your GPA ( high school or college) does not looks eligible at all for COE, or LSA.

Talk to the counselor at WCC although I have heard they are useless. But at least they should have some information from previous students.

You should ask yourself this, if you are only able to achieve a 3.1 GPA at WCC, are you confident that you will be able to succeed in mechanical engineering at Michigan?

I was away from school for quite a while and now I can definitely get it up to 3.4+. What about LSA for Econ (backup major)?

You should speak to some admissions counselors. I am not sure you understand the level of achievement needed for UM.

You might be able to get into State. Eastern and Oakland may offer you a tiny scholarship. No chance for Ann Arbor.

To be honest, your chance to transfer to CoE is not good. LSA is possible if you do get 3.4+.

I’d say to have a moderate chance at getting in a 3.4 from WCC is minimum. If you can get it up to a 3.4 then you might get in, but it’s no guarantee. Below that your chances are pretty low.
