Hi,
So at my school, I had the option to study for regular chemistry, take the test in August, and, with a passing score, be able to take AP Chemistry in the fall. I took up that option and I did well on the test. I studied from the regular chemistry textbook for a good part of the summer. But, I’ve heard that AP Chem is a very hard class, so are there any things I should go back and work on more or review that are important for the AP class? I hope to make it go as smoothly as possible, which is why I want to spend the rest of the summer going over things I need for the class so it hopefully won’t be too bad. Any suggestions? =)
As for any APs, I would advise getting one or two prep books for AP chem and skimming through it to get a overview of the topics.
I took AP chem this past year and scored a 5. Make sure you are well versed in the “Big Ideas” (I think that is what they are called), There are very specific topics you need to know in AP Chem (albeit there are also a lot of them) Just stay organized with your notes so when review time comes you have something to reference.
