Hey guys I am a Libyan citizen who have studied high school in the United States and I am planning on studying college in Canada. I really want to major in Computer science. I have a GPA of 2.89 and an SAT score of 1070 with 550 in critical reading and writing, and 520 in math. The highest math course I have taken during High School is PreCalculus, which is the average math course for 12th graders. Can anyone recommend me a canadian college that would accept me in their Computer Science program with my current scores? Thank you
@muradElmissalati:
I would recommend you do a DEC-BAC in Quebec, because CS is very competitive and at the current moment you probably wouldn’t get into a program.
DEC means 2 years of math/CS (calculus 1+ 2, Discrete Math, Linear Algebra) + general education (English, French, some electives), and you can get straight into a 2nd year BS in CS at universities like McGill or any other Canadian universities, provided you improve your grades.
Here are examples

They also offer “Computing and Engineering Technology Programs”, which can also lead to 2nd year in university. Those also typically include an internship.

Your odds of admission are good there:

Tuition is $7,000 Canadian dollars per semester, so about $5,500 US Dollars per semester. You have to check the website to see whether some offer housing (room&board).
