Going to Open House!

skybaker, I agree early Spring is not MHC at its best --by late April, it wil be lovely again. I haven't been to Middlebury, but MHC's library is the best I've seen so far.

My friend and I are currently at the MHC library. We are skipping the presidential address and faculty panel, I know I know, we are rebels. We are waiting for the refreshments at 3:15pm and then we will be heading to the financing discussion panel at 3:45pm.
Lunch was good (espeically the carrot cake...mmmmmhmmm). We went to Blanchard to buy some MHC stuff and then walked over to the village commons. Not much was open except for the Odyssey book shop.
We love the campus and we can't wait to attend this fall!

...It's really hot in the library....I am dying of heat....

BTW, I am staying in Abbey tonight.

I know that you guys are in sleeping bags (on the floor?) in the dorm rooms. One of the CC threads has pulled up archived discussions about how lousy the dorm matresses and beds are and what students do to try to make them comfy. (Egg crate toppers, feather beds, etc.) How are the beds? Are they x-tra long but x-tra skinny? Do the students do anything in particular to make them comfy?

They might be a bit short (I'm 5'1" and my toes hit the end -- I got a bed cause my host had an extra -- but I also tend to sleep kind of far down on the matress so I might not be hte best judge). The matresses weren't ridiculously uncomfortable but I can see how egg crates would improve them.
