Going to school part time senior year?

Hey everyone,

I just finished my second year as an undergrad and will be entering my junior year soon. I was looking through my curriculum and realized that by the end of junior year, I would have finished almost all of my requirements to graduate, except for a history and literature class.

I would love to talk to my pre-med advisor about this, but currently, the advisors are reserved for students who want to apply to medical school this fall. I was first thinking about going to school full-time senior year, but I recently just got a part-time job as an ED scribe and I absolutely LOVE IT. I would love to dedicate more time for it senior year, if I could go to school part time and work full-time (or part-time is fine too). I'm learning so much as an ED scribe and I really like it.

I also really want to be a part of America Read America Counts, helping elementary students around the area by reading or doing math with them. I was also a biology TA last semester and I LOVED IT SO MUCH. I know it's not completely medically related, other than the fact that it was a biology class, but is it okay if I do this again senior year and take an easier course load? These little things make me so happy and makes me feel more fulfilled, but will medical schools think that I'm taking it easy my senior year? Is it bad if I only take only a class or two a semester and just go part-time? One science and one non-science course and then work as a scribe, volunteer for ARAC, and/or be a TA? I would love that so much more than being in school part-time senior year. I don't plan on taking a year off between senior year and medical school, so is it better to just take advantage of other classes my senior year? Does anyone have experience or advice for this? Thanks so much!
