Good 8 Year Med Programs???

Hi, I am currently a junior in high school and I am certain that I want to go into medicine. I’ve noticed the getting into med schools is really competitive, and so I have turned my attention to guaranteed 8 year med programs that don’t pile on too much work and allow you to be stress free for gathering necessary requirements for a typical med school. I just don’t know which ones I would have a shot at, it would be great if you guys could help! I have a few stats below…

ACT: 34
AP’s:10— (Human Geo, Bio, Compsci, Lang, Stat-taken. Taking next year- Chem or Psych, Econ (Macro and Micro), Spanish, Calc BC)
Extracurriculars: Tennis (8 years), Guitar (3 years), VP of Cultural Diffusion Club, Manager of Cricket Club, 10th and 11th grade representative for Jewels for Jewels, Secretary for Kaleidoscope Club, on the Board of Directors for Jr. Civitain Club
Awards/Experience: HOSA state qualifier, TSA state and nationals qualifier, shadowed a pediatrician, volunteered at hospital for two summers
GPA: about 3.7 unweighted, 4.0 weighted (our school gives out numeric averages instead, so I’m not too sure about my GPA but i calculated it with an online calculator)

Just based on this, if anyone would know any good 8 year med programs i would have a shot at or suggestions in general, it would be great.

I’ve heard good things about these programs:
Rice/Baylor Medical Scholars Program, Northwestern’s Honors Program in Medical Education,
the Rochester Early Medical Scholars, Boston University’s 7-Year Liberal Arts/Medical Education Program, and Brown’s Program in Liberal Medical Education. I have a friend in Rochester’s direct med program, and she is having a blast.

I have no idea on your (or anyone else’s) admissions chances, but I would guess they’re all very selective and very prestigious.

Thank you for the information, I’ll definately look into the colleges suggested- however, I have researched these programs and I feel like I don’t have too good of a chance at them, looking at my stats and EC’s. Do you guys have any others in mind that may be slightly easier to get into? Also, do you guys have any suggestions as to what other things I could do (as far as extra curriculars go) since I have one more full year of high school left to give me a better chance at medical programs???

You should definitely try to find research experience, shadow more, and volunteer at hospitals
