So this is my first time ever on College Confidential and I'm just trying to get a sense of where I stand in regard to college apps. I am currently a sophomore at a New England prep school and I know that I want to go into medicine. Right now I'm looking at 8 year medical programs, especially Brown University's PLME, partially because I want the security of having somewhere to go directly after undergrad. I know the program is difficult to get in to so would you mind helping me decide it it's possible / suggesting any other options? Here's my info:

Grade: 10th
School type: Private

Honors Chemistry
Precalculus

Spending this coming summer interning in a lab at UMass

Honors/Awards:

More academic honors I can't name off the top of my head (Recognition from Johns Hopkins, qualifier for AIME, etc)
Probably a few smaller ones that I've forgotten
SAT: 2260 (without any preparation) - I'm hoping to prepare and score at least a 2300

Like I said, I'm new to this so please let me know if I forgot anything! Thanks so much!
