Good Academic Division II Schools

I am a very good student and I want to go to an academically sufficient school but also have the opportunity to compete at a high level of track and field. I have a pretty good list of division 3 schools but I have close to none for division 2. If someone could throw some college names out, give me a link or a list it would really help me. Thanks! :x

Does your sport have a webpage? My daughter plays lacrosse, and the laxpower page lists the standings, divided by division, so it is easy to see which schools play in which NCAA or NAIA division, plus how good the teams are. It also lists which schools are starting new teams or changing from club to NCAA, who was recruited to schools, some awards, etc.

I think the NCAA site also lists schools by the divisions they compete in.

Here is a list of all NCAA D2 schools

Colorado School of Mines may be a good place to start

University of California, San Diego

For whatever reason, it appears that there are more very high academic schools that compete in D3 than in D2.

Yes myluckydog thats what I found out after searching for schools for a while

If you don’t like the D-2 schools, don’t apply. If you prefer D-3 schools, you won’t get athletic money and as pointed out, you might not get as much playing time or as strong competition. Choices.
