I was browsing through CC and saw few lists of good summer programs, but not ones for architecture. I am a junior and currently I am applying to Cornell 6 weeks arch. program, but I want to apply to few others as back ups if I get rejected to Cornell. Can anyone recommend a good arch. summer program for high school students? Thanks!
Take a look at the Syracuse University program. My DS attended Syracuse last summer. He was in a different program but knew kids in the architecture program. It was very intense, with a ton of after class work, but the kids seemed to like it. The rest of the program as far as residential life, orientation, etc. was excellent. Check out their website for more details.
late to the game and furiously looking for the same, seems like many colleges have these programs now, though at different levels. We are looking for a program which at the end of session can contribute to my D’s portfolio. But most importantly it will need to be vigorous and designed to simulate a day in the life of an Arch studennt. A few we are considering are:
- Syracuse
- Pratt
- UMass
- Roger Williams
- Cornell
- NJIT
