Wow, thanks for posting that. Lots of good advice I hadn’t thought of. My kids seem to end up in the ER periodically, so I’m going to save this article and start making some changes!
Thanks! I actually had an experience of my own where my roommate (this was 25+ years ago) had some sort of episode (now I think it was a epileptic seizure) and I had NO info on how to contact her family. It was awful! (She turned out fine after treatment)
With cell phones it is theoretically not an issue, but reality is something else altogether. I put together a commonly shared Google Doc this fall where all the roommates put in their contact info and any key info (allergies, med histories) as they were comfortable doing. Just to give one another a place to start should an emergency happen. Hope for the best, plan for the worst
