I just wanted to say thank you to all of the parents, cadets and graduates who have offered up their time to answer our (sometimes ridiculous) questions. I know for me personally this forum has been a fountain of invaluable knowledge, as well as a source of comfort. I feel like I already have an Air Force family!

Good luck to the rest of 2012, I will see you all in less than 48 hours.
Hopefully I will get a chance to update on doolie day out, but if not, I will be back on in 6 weeks

I'd also like to say thanks. It seems like just yesterday that going to the Academy was only a distant dream, and now it's here! Thanks to all of you parents, cadets, and other appointees, I've made it here relatively unscathed! Thanks so much, and, like Wildblue, if I don't update on doolie day out, I'll be around in 6 weeks.

I would also like to add my thanks to everyone. People ask me if I know what I am getting myself into and because of this forum, I can say, yes, I believe I do. I may be on later today (my flight leaves tomorrow morning) but maybe not. So good bye for now

I, too, want to thank everyone on this forum for your time and your answers! :) I will be back eventually...Until then, good bye! And good luck to all my fellow appointees!

Thanks for offering your support for me during this turnback year. I'll see my former classmates and everyone else in August, and I'll try to get my squadron info out to you guys.

To 2012: congrats on making it this far, and good luck this summer. Thursday will be hard, Friday will suck, and the rest of the remaining 36 days will be nothing but pure exhaustion, probably mixed with sweat and tears. But we'll still make it through- look how many cadets before us now offer us their wisdom. Just remember- they can make it harder, but not longer.

Farewell all, but not good bye. Boy, did that sound corny.

Soon to be Basic Cadets who are "going it alone" - pass this info on to your parents....

At check in, airline personnel, if you ask, will give your parents passes to go beyond security with you and they will be able to wait at the gate until you board and leave.

And, you all will not be the goofy looking kids with folders. You will be the pensive looking kids....every emotion you can think of racing through your heads.....probably with a pair of boots around your neck and an air of purpose surrounding you.

Yes, you too, will make us proud. Good luck and welcome aboard.

I guess it's time to say mine now too.. Twelve hours from now i'll be on my way. Just wanted to echo all those before me and say thanks to all the cadets, parents, and others who frequent these forums for all the help and advice that's been given out the past year that's been given to me and all my classmates. And to all the 2012ers, i'll see you in a few days!

Yup, same for me. You all have really helped me out...I'd be quite a wreck if I didn't have the confidence y'all have helped instill. Thanks ever so much! :D
