Remember that F&M is SAT optional for some students.

I would be very surprised if you did not get in with your stats. You are in the upper part of F&M's applicant pool. Good luck.

I'd say you look in very good shape to get in... if you're that concerned about your SATs (however, 1930 is fine for F&M), you could always retake them and try to focus on improving your verbal. Also, wait to see how you do on your ACTs... there are many who do much better on that particular test than the SATs.

I'm going to applying to F&M too. The admissions people are amazingly nice. I got the impression that if you convey that you're a nice person, you're in.

The college admissions process is SO random you can't predict who will get in where based on STATS alone. At my son's high school, many bright kids with exceptional test scores and GPAs were rejected or waitlisted from their "safeties". These "safeties" included: Dickinson, Bucknell, Villanova. I don't buy the term "safety" when it comes to private institutions. The only safety anyone TRULY has is their state university. My son is only one of a handful attending a private college.

With this in mind...... I encourage all prospective students to INTERVIEW at the colleges which you are interested. By interviewing, you are giving the admissions rep a picture of the person behind the "resume". You will be able to show your passions! It will also give YOU a better feeling about the school. You will know if you are a fit or should continue looking elsewhere.

My son applied ED I to F&M. Interviews are required for ED students. He was a nervous wreck but came out of his interview KNOWING that F&M was the place for him.... He was so stoked after that interview that it made the following 4 weeks until decisions were mailed nervewracking!!!!!

Best of luck! :-)

asdfjkl1, I beg to differ. Unfortunately, just being a nice person won't get you into college, at F&M or any other school. I got rejected ED, a friend of mine got accepted ED, and I personally think she's just as nice as I am (she just has better grades.) I also know some of the most annoying and arrogant people I know will be going to Ivies.

I also agree with DGIAN- don't let any school like Dickinson, Bucknell or F&M be a safety for you. Especially with the rise in applications, it's so difficult to calculate if you'll get in or not.
