What about TAMU and Wisconsin? Both have excellent civil engineering programs.
@TooOld4School TAMU is way too big for me. I have thought about Wisconsin, but do not think it will be a great fit for me.
Anyone else have any schools? Preferably mid-size schools.
Miami University. It does not have a co-op but they have paid internships.
Also, University of Cincinnati. Incredible co-op program. You co-op as early as the first semester Soph yr.
Auburn has some older buildings as the engineering college is well known and the buildings still fulfill a useful purpose. There are also many new engineering facilities - the Shelby Engineering Center is huge an very attractive (you can find YouTube videos). My son chose Auburn over the Honors and full tuition at Alabama, so did both his roommates. I haven’t met any of my sons friends at Auburn that had not also applied to Alabama. Each has their own preferences and that’s why it’s important to visit each campus - some students are impressed by some things that mean little to others and vice versa.
I will say if funding is your deciding factor, Alabama and Ole Miss and some other schools (Oklahoma) have outstanding academic scholarships. One of the reasons for their rapid rise in attendance.
