"Good" Essay Score New SAT?

Hi, all.

My daughter got straight 7’s on her three essay scores… not having her retake – or should she? Do you believe that that kind of score would keep her in the running for top schools? For that matter would it be a credit to her application, a neutral factor, or a ding?

IMO 7’s are like 700’s and 8’s are like 800’s. Given that elite schools like scores above 700 for everything, I think she is in good shape. This is obviously just a guess, since they haven’t given us percentiles or a concordance.
