I was wondering if the Wharton School of Business is an ideal university for one to prepare himself for a career in accounting. I know it's the top business school (under and grad), but is it good for accounting? Do major firms actually seeks people from Wharton?

bump. anyone got insight?

yes major firms seek people from wharton. but im not sure if i would pay that much to go study accounting at wharton... unless cost doesnt matter or you are getting a lot of aid... in that case you should go to wharton because the big 4 does recruit there, and there accounting program i believe was number 2? behind UT.

30% of Wharton students had Accounting as one of their concentrations. , at least when I was there. It helps plenty to get a Big 4 job.

If the big 4 is your goal, then Wharton is not the place for you. Go to your state's flagship U. Wharton students study accounting for its use in finance, and pay tuition accordingly.
