Good god

^ Not necessarily true

^Correct. Good observation. You deserve to be accepted to Harvard.

Haha the last post just makes me laugh. I would love to know the acceptance rate of CC users to any of the top tier schools versus the acceptance rate of non cc users. I bet it would be a rather large difference.

I hate numbers.

I mean, I actually do LOVE numbers. They’re fun and oddly comforting sometimes, except when they’re about college apps. I don’t feel like my app is much better, but then that’s only due to an SAT score -another number. But comparing the other numbers of my stats just leads to more inconclusive numbers, and the numbered days of uneasy waiting. Oh how I hate that I take time from school work to be here, but it eases my mind somehow. I think the number of CC’ers are generally more qualified, because we read, we converse, and we’re simply more aware, which will hopefully lead to odds. (I will say that we are generally very pessimistic, particularly with chances and the fascination of numbers.) Again, these numbers that cause all the problems!

And now we must wait for the number of days, minutes, and seconds till March 30th decrease some more…

Well if you look at likely letter percentages at top schools–we do pretty well. :)

lol ccuser someone’s gotta do it!

Waiting on our decision, as well. Hopeful, but expecting a rejection. It’s ok, though! 10 acceptances down, 4 more decisions to go! Hoping money makes it clear which to choose! :)

The acceptance rate to Harvard on the Eastern Sea Board is roughly 3%. This would make my unhooked chances 1-2% (considering atleast 1/3 of admits have a significant hook (non-academic)). Yay.

im also one of those hopefuls waiting on the decisions and my face has been breaking out more than ever :/

^^WHAAAT?

Is it too late for me to move to Wyoming? How long does it take to permanently change my state of residence?

@IV where did you get that number?

Where did you get that number?

I won’t get in either. I’m just trying to make this sink in so I won’t be too upset when I get the rejection email. sigh

Got it from my interviewer. Pretty scary, I know.

It’s been said before, but an acceptance rate of, say, 3%, does not mean you have a 3% chance of acceptance.

Completely different things.

hahahah ------------

True, but my point was that only about 3/100 applicants in my region are accepted… which certainly does not help my chances.

Do you think it’ll be a polite and gentle rejection letter or a blunt and hurtful one? I’m personally betting on a combination: polite and hurtful.

Geez guys have some faith

^^^some unrealistic one?
