Good idea or not?

I am currently a high school student in my senior year, but will be attending the University of Florida in Fall 2007. I am trying to decide what to major in and I think I have found a good solution.

The Univeristy of Florida offers a 5 year program (3/2) in Accounting that will allow me to get my masters in that time. I have taken 13 AP classes in high school with a high concentration on math (AP Calculus AB, AP Physics B, AP Chemistry, AP Microeconomics, AP Statistics, and Calculus II/III with a local college professor) which I feel should allow me to complete the program in less than 5 years, possibly four. Accounting is attractive to me because I like numbers, it is something I could get a good paying job with right after completion of the Masters program, it is versatile in that I can use it in many different fields, and it is probably a good jumping off point if I want to go to law school, which is my ultimate goal.

So, I guess I am asking if my plan sounds good and if getting a Masters in Accounting will provide me with a good base for getting into law school. University of Florida has the #2 tax law program in the country so it will be very difficult to get accepted for it, but maybe I will increase my chances by already having a Masters in Accounting.

Feedback please.

im not sure about florida but most states have 150 credit hours requirement for CPA exam, and typical 4 year program is 120 credits. so it makes sense to get the MS instead of taking 30 credtis wroth of classes for nothing. CPA's compensation is higher than of regular accountants.
