thnxs...lol i'll need the luck.. =]

thank you very much. lol. hopefully, I can get NMSF. As long as I don't totally mess up. I think I will drink some coffee, but not much,to get my energy up

Good luck to everyone, including my son!

drink 5 hour energy b4 taking a standardized test, it works well.

Good luck!

I remember my PSAT last year...I was really sick and feeling terrible. I still pulled off a 219 somehow. I don't think I'd recommend energy drinks unless you're used to them (ie you drink them a lot) otherwise you might go crazy.

My junior son is taking it today. When do scores arrive for the PSAT?

Scores arrive annoying late, sometime in December I think, and sometimes schools don't release them even that soon, as they prepare to have an assembly to explain the scores to parents, which may not happen until January.

My sophomore son is taking it, courtesy of the school district; I had to pay for him to take the test last year (a whooping $9). I'm hoping that he checked the box to allow schools to send him information; I want him to start feeling some looooove (or at least, marketing) from some colleges so that he comes to realize that yes, his grades really will matter!

tokenadult, I think I must have gotten his score even later than January, because I see, in checking my profile, that I joined CC at the end of February, which I came across while Googling to try to find state cutoffs for PSAT scores. Obviously I would have done that within a day or two of having the PSAT score in my hot little hand, right? Right! :-D

Some schools are very quick to distribute score reports, some are very slow. It gets annoying reading the score postings here when you know your school won't be passing them out for another month.

Owlice, if your son check the box and gave his email address, then it's his emailbox that will be flooded rather than your snail mailbox!

That's interesting about the score reports. My son will be taking the SAT in early December and I had hoped the PSAT score would arrive before then to help indicate any areas he might want to prepare for before the SAT. I'd prefer (and I'm sure he would as well) that the December SAT be the last time he has to sit for a college entrance exam.

MilwDad, my D plans to take the SAT in January, with PSAT scores in hand for a month beforehand. I assume schools follow the same typical schedule, ask around to see when they were distributed last year? I think early/mid December is as early as you can get. At least this wait isn't as long as the one to find out if you make the SF cutoff!

I live in NY and I got my scores in December last yr. I just took it again today.

Does any one know the cut off scores for the National Achievement Scholarship Program?

Thanks. Best of luck everyone

Good luck to the Saturday test-takers.

thanks...
I hope all goes well :-)
