I am currently a junior in high school and I plan to do pre-med/ neuroscience in college. I am trying to stay in California. Mainly southern California. I am looking for a college that is good for pre med and neuroscience. I dont want to go to UCLA. My stats are:
Uw: 3.67
W: 4.12
havnt taken Sats or act. Taking on December 3.

UCSD, UCI, and USC, roughly in that order.

I’m not sure what your test scores will look like and it might be a reach, but you should check out Pomona College. It has an undergraduate major in Neuroscience which I’ve read to be very strong, as is the pre-med advising program. It also has one of the highest medical school acceptance rates in the country (90%+, I believe).

USC offers both a BA and BS (new this year) in Neuroscience, with the BS being more extensive and covering all the pre-med pre-req’s. It also offers excellent pre-med advising.

Ucsd has top neuroscience and psychology program it’s called the world Mecca

Please chance me!!

Johns Hopkins probably has the best undergraduate neuroscience program in the country.

The graduate program is ranked 3rd behind Harvard and Stanford, except Harvard has ‘Neurobiology’ (equivalent to Neuroscience) as a concentration, and Stanford doesn’t even have Neuroscience as a stand alone major, except that it’s a sub-field that you can choose within the General Biology major.

Edit: oh, within California, then go Stanford :D

First order of business is to apply broadly and see where you get accepted. A 3.67 makes UCI a high match-reach nowadays. UCSD is a reach, as is 'SC without test scores. (Pomona of the Claremont’s is not worth your app fee, nor is Stanford.)
