do you guys know which jobs in the public sector pay well? above 100,000?

That's pretty much an oxymoron although I do know some private foundation execs that make good salaries. Some senior public servants must make low 6 figures, but it would take time to get there.

Work for a place like the FDIC, they're semi-public and you can deff get low six figures and a REALLY nice pension if you work there long enough (like 20 years).

I'm an attorney for the State of California and I make $125,000 plus my pension and my benefits, which are pretty good. I will retire at 55 and when I do, I will probably make a minimum of $70,000 a year for the rest of my life and my husband and I will have our medical paid for forever as well.

well the president of the us is the top position in the public sector and he only makes 400 thou a year haha so that gives you an idea of how much you would get.

Public sector jobs, though, have value outside of money. For example, I'm not worried right now about losing my job....

They also get great benefits
