Hey everyone, havent posted on here in a while but could really use some advice

I'm currently a sophomore finance major hoping for a career in investment banking. Problem is, I attend a non-target school (University of Maryland). Now, we do have a few people that go on to Wall Street, but they are indeed very few in number.

The main reason I want to transfer is because there are many schools out there that have much better on-campus recruiting opportunities than UMD. At this point, with grades and etc., I think I may have a (slim) chance at some Ivies and an even better chance at some other well respected programs (McIntire Business, Stern and so on).

So is it worth transferring? Would I honestly have a considerably improved chance at an i-banking internship if I transferred to a better school? I'm on track to graduate in the spring of 2015, but if I transfer my graduation would probably be later than that.

Any thoughts? Thank you very much!
