I plan on majoring in Spanish.
I currently am at a community college but I plan on transferring.
Would FIU be a good school? That's a university that is over 60% Hispanic in a city that is over 60% Hispanic. Coming from a small town, I think Miami would be fun. But I worry that I may get bored because it's a commuter school. Does anyone have any advice or any other ideas on where I should go?
Thanks in advance.

There are many schools that offer good Spanish programs. Being at a school or in a city with a large Hispanic population is a good consideration. Also, what are your tentative plans for what you might like to do with your major----business? grad school? teaching? what else? However, pick your school on the basis of the best overall fit for you in terms of size, location, finances, selectivity, etc. Without knowing your stats and what you can afford, it would be difficult for other posters to make useful recommendations.
