Hey guys,
Recently I've been thinking over what I want to major in in college (I'm a junior and I know it's far too early), and I know that I'm thinking of two major paths: Engineering, and Sciences. I've done a lot of research for engineering schools, but I haven't had much experience doing engineering, whether that be a job/internship,etc. I know Engineering has very stable job prospects, and incorporates the Math and Science I like to an extent.
On the other hand, I feel like a major in the sciences (math/physics/CS, my three strong suits/passions) would be very enjoyable for me (additionally, me EC's point me a bit toward a science degree, however, not a specific field).
Does anyone know some schools with really good programs in sciences? (I say arts and sciences in the title because most universities have a college which lumps the two together). I’ve heard the usual suspects, being Harvard, MIT, Ivy leagues, JHU, UChicago, etc. (However, those schools are insanely hard to get into and have titanic tuition. They’re also all out of state for me (bar JHU)).
Can anyone recommend me some good schools with good arts/sciences schools and programs (especially Math/Physics/CS) that are not uber elite?
Thanks!
