good schools in Philly

You think the silly rankings are actually reputable? We get destroyed because of our alumni giving rate. Woop-dee-doo.

I think we’re like 130th. 88th and 130th isn’t ‘significantly’, but that’s irrelevant, since these rankings are irrelevant. Pitt and CMU are both great schools, but I would never go to either. Not questioning their academics, but Drexel is a joke.

I really don’t want to get further into this, since pandem seems to be doing pretty well, and I am a parent, not a student. But as my final post here, diontechristmas, taking the US News rankings (which is the generally accepted ranking in the US, regardless of your opinion), 88 is indeed “significantly higher” than 130. It’s 42 points. Not that is matters, really, since their rankings are for the school in its entirety, not the architecture program.

Saying something is a “joke” does not actually make it a “joke” (what does that mean, anyway?).

Yes, Temple is an excellent, underrated school. But if you are acting as their ambassador, your defending of Temple and bashing of Drexel does not make Temple look better.

Both are good schools. Both have solid architecture programs, and they are run in very different ways from each other. One is more traditional, the other is internship based. Both are valid.

Have a great year!

Temple is a joke. Why? I don’t know. See? I can make baseless claims too.

As already stated, putting down Drexel doesn’t make Temple seem better. Quite the opposite.

My friend’s friend’s father is the president of US News. He laughs at the rankings. They’re meant to sell magazines. Keep taking this BS as gospel.

If you truly think Drexel is a better school than Temple, then the joke’s on you.
