Could parent name the good schools with open admission Policies as one can apply simultaneously with SCEA or EA schools withut violating SCEA/EA policies.

Do you mean rolling admissions? That is, the school begins to accept RD applications in November or December, and continues into January or February?

Well what I was wondering if someone applied SCEA to Y OR H? Could they apply to say Michigan without violating SCEA/EA policy. So I am looking for good school where you can apply early. Thanks

What is SCEA? How does it differ from EA?

yes, hellousda, you may apply SCEA and rolling admissions to, e.g., UM. My D did this. You may also apply SCEA and RD to as many schools as you wish. You may not apply SCEA to a school and either EA or ED to any other school.

So other than University of Michigan what are other good rolling admission schools. is there website for the rolling admisisons schools.

IS UVA or UNC are rolling admissions schools?

I believe the rule is you can apply to PUBLIC colleges without violating the SCEA/ EA/ED rules. USC admissions[ Southern Calif] is also rolling.

Princeton Review has a list of colleges with rolling applications, be aware that it is not complete; to be sure, look at the specific college website you're interested in:

jlauer - SCEA is Single Choice Early Action (Harvard, Yale, Stanford) which means that it is the only school you can apply to EA; unlike plain EA schools (UChicago, MIT, Georgetown, etc.) where you can apply to more than one. For all SCEA, EA & ED, you can apply to rolling admissions and schools that give decisions after January (eg. Rice Interum)
