I want to go on a service trip over summer. I was wondering if anyone knew any well known, credible organizations. I'm not American so the Peace Corps doesnt work for me...but any others...?

Rustic Pathways (www.rusticpathways.com) does a lot of international service trips for highschoolers (as well as international touring trips). If you look around the site, all of the trips look incredibly amazing, and although they primarily do things with American highschoolers, they do have people from all around the world participate in their programs.
It is pretty expensive, since you're flying to other countries, but it looks life-changing!
I'm doing the "Service in the Clouds" program in India this summer, and I can't wait :)
Good luck

i'd recommend Operation Crossroads Africa--http://operationcrossroadsafrica.org/main.php. The risk with service trips is paying a lot of money for a "touristy" experience. When I did OCA, I was deeply immersed in the local culture and saw the tangible good that my volunteer work was doing.

Rotary International usually has a bunch of stuff around the world. The key is to know the right people in each club. This year, I was offered to go to Uganda to help distribute donations and set up a school.
