Good tech colleges (grades not so good)

Hello everyone. I'm looking for colleges that have good computer/engineering/tech programs. I'd like to major in Computer Science, computer engineering, or software engineering.

Right now, I'm looking at colleges like Oregon State and UC Riverside.

The catch is my grades aren't exactly that great, so don't suggest anything like MIT or cornell. I'm just above a 3.0, unweighted, and I scored 1980 on the last PSAT I took (the new 2400 scale).

anyone have any suggestions?

EDIT: I'm a junior in high school, and I've been slacking off the last year, hence the relatively low GPA. I'm getting my ass in gear this year though, but I wonder if its going to be a case of too little too late.

Check out New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology. A dad wrote an interesting review of visiting the campus with his son. I believe it was in the parents forum. (not 100% positive though)

If you post this question in the Parent's Forum, you'll get a lot of answers. Parents have done all this research and are happy to share.
