college:
3.7GPA at Rochester Institute of Technology - Majoring in Finance - Thinking about switching to MIS

I have about 64 credits at RIT, but we are on the trimester system. That averages out to about 40 at a normal school. I have decided to not go back to RIT due to personal reasons, so I am actively seeking a transfer.

I applied to NYU for the fall but I didn't get in :( .

I already got accepted to the University of Pittsburgh (about 20 min away from me) as a safety school, but I really would like to go somewhere else to spend my college years.

What are some good business schools that I should look into transfering to? Location isn't a big factor, but the west coast is too far away for me.

Me too...after seeing the NYU Stern decisions thread...it seemed like a ton of people got in, but I guess there were actually a/b 30% that didn't get accepted from CC.

What is RIT comparable to schoolwise...or how is it ranked? How do you think schools like NYU view a 3.7 from RIT?

yeah for BU... i dont believe it matters... also im not too knowledgable about our system here... but they make it quite clear that they want a foundation in business for everyone... soo the specific concentrtation you go into doesnt matter..... everyone gets a Business Administration degree.. and then concentrate in one or multiple areas

I would try to get into UNC-CH, UVA, or Michigan. Get into the regular program and transfer into the b-school. Truthfully you're alot better off even with an econ degree from these schools than a business degree from BU.

actually yes it is hard...I was talking more like go to Michigan and then transfer internally into Ross. External transfer into Ross is probably very hard.
