<p>To those who have recieved 9's on practice/class AP lit essays, how did you do it? </p>
<p>Some tips/advice would be appreciated.</p>
<p>Don't summarize plots, instead explain symbolism and themes. Focus on the work's overarching philosophical implications beyond the obvious. </p>
<p>In short, don't read for the reader of your essay, interpret for the reader of your essay.</p>
