Okay i have a random question/game. For no apparent reason yesterday i googled myself, and was surprised to find 6 hits that were actually about me. I was wondering how many hits other people had when they googled themselves. I just put "first name last name" in and looked at how many were * actually * about me, and any that are repeats to the same sites dont count. Whoever has the most hits for themselves wins.

There are so far 8 hits about me.

I got 1 hit which was my profile at some place and I'm in the process of deleting my account there :p Don't want nobody googling me

10 for me, and then a ton for my dad come up.

2...and they weren't me anyways

167...they were all me (I checked and plus I've never met or heard of anyone with my name). i got that many b/c i play so much tennis tounaments around the us and stuff. anyway, not trying to sound conceited or anything.

I googled my fiancee's best friends name and it popped up her address and how much she paid for her house. For a more interesting take, type in your home phone number, and you get an option of seeing an aerial photo of your house. Very strange.

hmm...I couldn't find a picture of my house. It just pulled up our yellow pages listing. i think its safe to say that coqui has won hands down...but who knows? We live in a crazy world...

2 for me burried deep in the recesses of Dr. (my name)'s work
2 for my dad, both on my uncle's websites
0 for my mom.

well THATs depressing

if you count hits for my online alter-egos (screen names in chatrooms and what not) then the list is a bit more substantial.

8

Kent State: on the state auditor's website, at least for franklin country anyway, you can look up all the detais of someone's house. there's another site where you can find out what a person's legal/criminal record. it's all provided by the state, but it's amazing what you can find out about a person.

Oh I am totally familiar with that site http://www.searchsystems.net/ It was just funny how the first thing that came up was how much she paid for her house. It was from the real estate transactions section of the Toledo Blade.

One hit about me on the first page (from the regional science bowl last year) but there are a few others out there from my hockey team but I didn't care to sift through all the garbage.

I have possibly the most common name EVER (my last name is brown, and my first name is very common as well), so there's nothing on me in the first two pages, and i didn't bother to look beyond that.

41, 40 of them are about me.

Remember to use quotes before and after your name to get an exact appearance. For example, "John Doe" searchs for that entry only and does not identify websites with John and Doe randomly scattered.

8,580 here because I share a name with an MLB pitcher. (who also happens to be left handed :))

I get either my first name with random people and my last name is the name of a famous city, so it's about someone with my name in that city.

Heehee, I have a googling habit: I google everyone I know again and again. I'm such a snoopy sort of person. But hey, if people put it online, it's not my fault if I find it. So if you're ever wondering whether you should post sensitive information online, don't, because surely there are other people as obsessive and stalkery as I am. Be a Google-fearing man.
Anyway, I have five hits with my actual name, though my screen name gets hundreds of hits. I'm omnipresent!

This practice is actually called "ego-surfing"

try googlefight.com its wierd but fun
