Got a 24, what should I do to get a 27?

I took a free ACT test a couple months ago, and I got a 24. My exact scores on everything were:

English: 24
Math: 22
Reading: 28
Science: 22
Writing: 10

To get an honors diploma at my school, I need to get a 27 or higher. And honestly, I think increasing my score would help for colleges too (Well, obviously). So I was wondering what I could do to get a better score, as I do need it. I did realize I spent a lot of time reading passages, when there are 24 questions in 25 minutes, and that in the math section, I took a lot of time on some problems.

I could also take the SAT, but honestly I think it's harder with the vocab. I haven't taken a practice one yet.

Are there any really good ACT books out there? I'd take a class with The Princeton Review, but I don't have 1,000+ :l

Don’t take a class. My friends all took a class whereas I just studied myself and I beat all but one of them. (Except 1)

5 real ACT tests. Although these are for practice. You won’t actually learn the matrial from it (That was my problem anyways.)

http://www.amazon.com/Barrons-ACT-36-2nd-Edition/dp/0764147056/ref=zg_bs_11670_3

You could def. give that a try. Mine is on it’s way.

The two that seem to be holding you back are Math and Science so here ya go

http://www.amazon.com/Barrons-ACT-Math-Science-Workbook/dp/143800222X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1403811903&sr=1-1&keywords=barrons+math+and+science+workbook

It covers every single type of Math on the ACT

I only have a 26 but these are definitely what I would recommend

Are you a rising junior or senior? If you’re a rising junior then you still have a ton of time to improve. I went from 24 to 32 in a year so I think you’ll be fine. Don’t take classes because they’re a waste of time and money. Take lots of practice tests and know the format of the ACT. The ACT tries to trick you sometimes but they’re always the same tricks. Also, bring a watch! Time has always been my biggest problem but the watch helps so much.
