well, this isn't exactly college life, but it happened at college. I got a weird call from someone an hour ago asking about where is "stash" was or he would kill me and my family. It lasted like 30 mins of me just panicking and trying to convince him that it was a wrong number.

It hit me that this might be a prank, but its still really sketch cuz it was phoned in twice at two numbers that are identical except for the last digit.
I dont know any drug dealers, but I hope I don't another call.

Anyways, i hope it's still someone messin with me, but someone might actually die tonight.

I think it's a really sick prank, but that you should still alert the authorities.

My sister-in-law (who is half-Latina/half-black) received a similar call about a year and a half ago at her college dorm. It was extremely disturbing and the person talked about how they wanted to skin her alive and take her out to the country and lynch her, all while saying racial slurs. It was quite alarming, and she eventually contacted the authorities (Not sure what became of it though), who took care of it.

Ill do that if anything comes up this week. I hope it doesn't lead to anything nasty. I'm concerned since this guy on the phone was very serious sounding and had a genuine thug way of saying things. I recognize the call came from my home town since it had the area code. but I'm away in college and they likely dont realize that they might be phoning the wrong guy.

What's disturbing is that they dialed and recited to me the correct number. How they got their hands on it is beyond me.

Try googling the number also. There are sites that help keep track of persistent prank callers. And if it happens again, I don't recommend staying on the line for so long. Hang up as soon as you reasonably can.

anyways, all the kids in my hall think its someone who randomly dialed a cell number and decided to mess with me. but i think it was for real since it was a vry serious tone and the guy told me his name and i didnt kow anyone by that name.

It sounds like a prank call, from what you've told us. It doesn't make sense that some random guy you don't know would choose to threaten you about a drug stash... do any of your friends have a voice that sounds similar to that guy's voice...

that happened to me too, around at 3 in the morning.

It was my dorm phone so I couldn't even see who called me. They were like "I'm gonna kill your parents" or something retarded like that and i just hung up thinking "OMG they woke me up in middle of the night for this?"

My parents are out of the country too btw so I definitley knew this was a prank. :/ just ignore it and block the number.

yeah, it's probably a group of people in your hometown who misses you. if they have a similar number like that, and if it's two people, they might be related, or opened two phone lines at the same time.

*57 logs the number called from as a harrassing call even if the number is blocked, so if there is a pattern or it happens again to you there is a record of the time, etc

Nah, no one in my hometown talks the way this guy talks. And usually someone who would prank me I would know. The number was from alandline I didnt recognize.

watevs, nothing has happened thus far after the call so I guess its no big deal.
