Got accepted to second choice

Hi Everyone,

I am a transfer student who got accepted to second choice: Environmental & Interior Design Program. My first choice is the architecture program and I am not really interested in any other majors. So, what should I do? Is it easy to transfer from VPA to Architecture after a year?

hi there! i also transferred programs within Syracuse, but I went from the school of art to the school of design so I can’t tell you exactly what your chances of getting in are. here is the process for transferring into architecture (make sure you’re looking at intra university transfer part, not just the transfer part)

it honestly might be dependent on how much space the program has, everyone has their own desk so there’s only so much people they can accept so I can’t say for sure if you would get in or not, it depends if people drop out or other circumstances. that said i think environmental and interior design is a good major to be in to transfer.

edit: i forgot to mention, when you transfer majors, you have to do the first year work and everything, and since arch is a 5 year program you would be here for at least 6 years.
